How to play
- Every move must be a capture: one piece takes another by moving as in chess. You never move a piece without capturing.
- The goal: leave only one piece on the board.
- Each piece can capture at most twice. The two yellow dots under a piece show the captures it has left.
- Nalou, the king, can never be captured. If she is on the board, she must be the last one left.
- How they move: the king one square in any direction; the queen in a straight line and diagonally; the rook in a straight line; the bishop diagonally; the knight in an L shape, jumping over pieces; the yarn ball, like a pawn, one square diagonally upwards. Only the knight jumps: the others stop at the first piece in their way.
- Tap a piece (the ones that can capture glow), then the piece to capture. “Undo a capture” takes you back.
- Every game has at least one solution, but some captures lead to a dead end. The hint shows a capture that keeps the game winnable. The daily game is the same for everyone.
