How to play
- The estate is divided into plots surrounded by a fence. The gnomes always arrive in the same order: red, blue, yellow, green, purple. A 1-cell plot houses a red gnome; 2 cells, a red and a blue; 3 cells, a red, a blue and a yellow; and so on up to 5. Each colour only once per plot.
- Two gnomes of the same colour can't stand each other: they must never be neighbours, not side by side, not diagonally, not even over a fence. Otherwise, they get cross.
- A few gnomes are already settled on their pedestal: they no longer move.
- Tap a cell, then a gnome at the bottom. The keypad only offers the colours possible in the chosen plot. “Notes” mode puts small colour dots to help you think. On a computer: the arrows, the numbers 1 (red) to 5 (purple), and N for notes.
- Every estate has a single solution, found by deduction. The residents' committee insists.
